I didn’t always understand my skin, but I always felt it. It reacted, resisted, and spoke in silence, long before I learned to truly listen.
Even as a child, tap water irritated my skin, leaving it sensitive, burning, and easily overwhelmed. Relief came through gentleness. Guided by my mother’s natural intuition, I began cleansing my skin with milk, and it provided a peace that water could not. Over time, I transitioned to gentle cleansing formulas, and my skin became more balanced and resilient.
In my teenage years, I thought my skin had become strong enough to withstand anything. I believed I could use any product… and I did. Over-cleansing. Over-exfoliating.
A constant desire to fix what I perceived as “excessive oiliness.” I chose intensive cleansing products and avoided moisturizing, convinced that my skin was already too oily. I fought against the shine, not realizing I was working against my own natural balance.
Years later, after a professional facial with radiofrequency therapy, my skin reached its breaking point. I trusted the process, but after that, everything changed. My skin became inflamed, reactive, and extremely sensitive. A visit to the pharmacy left me with countless products – and no results. In fact, the situation only worsened. My skin was literally burning.
At a dermatologist visit, I heard the diagnosis – rosacea. But doubts remained. Was it really rosacea? Or was it a deeply damaged skin barrier following a procedure that was too intense for my skin?
One thing I understood clearly – my skin had been trying to communicate with me all along, but I hadn’t learned to listen.
Soulful Skincare was born from this realization.
This journey taught me that skin shouldn’t be corrected by force. It must be understood, supported, and respected. Skincare isn’t about perfection. It’s about balance. About restoration. About being in harmony with your skin.
